Here's a message Tim shared at Living Hope in Renton Washington March 18, 2018. 

Leaven is a rising agent. It rises and sets when heat is applied. The question is, when the fire comes, when trials come, what rises out of you?  The leaven of heaven or..... the leaven of this world, the Pharisees or of Herod?

Have you ever tried to serve God and miss it? Have you ever tried to overcome a weakness or a habitual sin and just seemed to fail time and again? Have you ever tried to learn a skill and thought you couldn’t do it?  Have you ever make a commitment to yourself that you would not let your mom, dad, brother, sister or friend push your buttons?  You know, those touchy places in your life that make you mad or angry. 

Have you ever thought, I just can’t do this?  I can’t overcome this weakness or addiction? Have you ever felt like you’d never be able to do enough to earn God’s love? 

I’ve felt like that. But let me share with you what I discovered one day in the midst of complete and utter failure. I learned that:

• I could not earn my heavenly Father’s love. He already loves me.
• My definition of success and God’s definition were different.
• The key to winning in Christ is that when I fail, I rise again! 

Micah 7:8-11 became one of my favorite scriptures.  It says “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me.  I will bear the indignation of the Lord, Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case And executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness.  Then she who is my enemy will see, And shame will cover her who said to me, “Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will see her; Now she will be trampled down like mud in the streets.

The Key to Success
I learned that I was only defeated…. If I stayed down. 

Can you imagine the ability for a church or network to have their own 1Church1Day system with their own app, yet still “interconnected” to the larger body of Christ?  Well, that day is here! It started with our announcement regarding Yakima yesterday. The first customized version of 1Church1Day is being rolled out for Transform Yakima Together. Their app will be available in Google Play and Itunes stores next week. 

Because of this it is time to bring on another minister as a team member. Starting March 1st Praveen Nelli, a Greek seminary teacher from India will join us.  We are well acquainted with him as he was our constant companion during both our trips to India. He was our interpreter, guide and fellow servant in the gift of helps.  He'll start as a Support Specialist and we'll  be training Praveen to serve as a “League Administrator” (that’s the person who manages each Leadership Dashboard for each church or network) until a local league administrator can be trained.

Pray and rejoice with us as we welcome Praveen.  Pray he hit the mark in this assignment.

I'll never forget what God showed when I was temporarily assigned to serve on the staff of COMIDEASTFOR during Desert Storm aboard the USS LaSalle. It reinforced a biblical principle of war.  It's the principle of objective. The key to unity is a common objective with enough agreement so as to form a coalition. The Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard have different cultures and we are typically competitive until we are united by a common objective and a common foe. One of my assignments on that staff was to serve as a liaison officer.  I regularly interacted with and worked with these different armed services as well as civilian shipping lines, convoys, embassies and consulates and armed services from 34 different nations who were part of the coalition. 

I marveled at generally how well everyone seemed to get along and work together. That is, until the shooting war stopped.  I was shocked to see that within 24 hours of a ceasefire everyone seemed to revert to our pre-war stance which tended to be self focused and self promoting. 

Uncommon Courage 
Representative Matt Shea from Washington State is a patriot, a Christian, an Army officer and a decorated veteran.  He shared in a report early this morning how he'd just endured the worst legislative day in his 10 years of service. It was because certain bills that violate God's word and harms families (ie. eugenics, abortion, surrogacy and a clear persecution of Christian beliefs) passed yesterday by the Democratic majority who hold the house, senate and governor's mansion.  He's standing for righteous values day in and day out.  He's a light that shines in darkness. Uncommon valor is not uncommon to him, but rather it is a daily walk.  He and a handful of other legislators (ie. Rep. Jesse Young) go where most won't go. 

He pleads and strongly highlights the need for the Church to pray. They need our help. Secondly, he emphasizes the need for alternative media sources because the current media is controlling the narrative and choosing deceive and distract the public for their liberal left wing agenda.  When you combine that along with major corporations (ie. Facebook, Google, Youtube, etc.) who also share the same political goals based upon a world view minus God (ie. Truth)... well let's just say it highlights the need for a system like ours.  

It's Time for Uncommon Cooperation
It's time for the body of Christ to unite. The issues before our state are literally life and death. The souls of men and women and their eternal destiny in heaven or in hell is really what's at stake.  It not now then when and if not you then who?
