I'd like to invite you to partner with us in prayer and through a special year end offering. We've just returned from a marvelous outreach to India and recently I've received reports from One Hope in Lane County OR, Gainesville FL, Whatcom County, Yakima WA, Dr Kawl in Myanmar and more. A 25+ year vision is unfolding and we are excited about the future. That being said, we see that we are about $30,000 behind our planned budget for this year.
Would you prayerfully consider a special year end gift to help us launch into 2018? Or, would you consider partnering with us as a Fellow Worker?
We’ve just returned from our missions trip to India. I’ve titled this the supernatural, services, supplies and souls saved trip for that’s what occurred. There were a number of firsts accomplished on this trip such as:
It was the first time I gave another minister the opportunity to lead their first international missions trip. They consider me a spiritual parent, so it was exciting to give them that opportunity.
It was the first time an interpreter was contacted by someone in the police department notifying them they were looking for the Westerners.
It was the first time I'd used the Leadership Dashboard of 1Church1Day to issue an emergency alert mobilizing strategic prayer for protection while we were in another nation.
It was the first time I'd experienced such hostility from some people which stood in stark contrast to many more drawn to the light. We've never had some many strangers wanting pictures with us crying "selfie."
It was the first time a family conference was ever held for Jesus Christ Prayer House wherein men, women, married couples and children were all ministered to at the same time.
It was the first Pastors & Evangelists Conference held by the India Prayer League we helped found after I’d commissioned Nani apostolically to oversee the 1Church1Day strategy in India. 110 ministers attended and 10 expressed interest in joining with the 24 churches already apart of the India Prayer League.
It was the first time that a woman was bit by a two headed snake while I was ministering during a Festival (outreach). In spite of that clearly demonic distraction (the women was not poisoned) 600 attended and 50 responded to the altar call for first time decisions to give their hearts to Christ.
For years and years my focus on Thanksgiving was turkey, dressing, candied yams, and cranberries. Oh, and don't forget the gravy. These were all the things I wanted to be full of. To ensure I accomplished this mission I'd visit each dish twice or maybe even three times before I left the table. Then, after a short time I'd switch my focus to my favorite..... LEFTOVERS!
As I've aged my metabolism slowed which impacts how much I eat and I've grown more contemplative. My focus on Thanksgiving has begun to focus more upon what I believe was God's original intent portrayed through the Feast of Tabernacles. Because of that, I've begun to consider what I am truly "-ful" of?
Dictionary.com says that "-ful" is a suffix meaning “full of,” “characterized by” (shameful; beautiful; careful; thoughtful); “tending to,” “able to” (wakeful; harmful); “as much as will fill” (spoonful).
Sorrow, Hate & Pride Reveal Wounds or Idols Are you sorrowful, hateful or prideful? The focus of your -ful reveals wounds that need tending or idols. Yes, I said idols. You can recognize idols by what you sacrifice to. It will be expressed through how you choose to spend your idle time and monies?
Do you try to drown your sorrows through the abuse of alcohol, drugs or sex? Are you so consumed with hatred for others that your idle time is spent fantasizing or preparing to hurt or payback others? Or, is your idle time consumed with your ego, your image, or your pleasure to the detriment of others whom you have responsibility for or owe respect to?
Temporal verses Eternal The focus on pride, hate or sorrow all deal with temporal situations and that my friends is pitiful. The opposite of these things is being thankful and grateful which are intertwined ...
Do you know what the main purpose of tithes and offerings are? It's not to pay the preacher, turn on the lights, maintain the building, fund an outreach etc.
It is to worship our Lord!
The scripture gives guidelines to ministers about how these things are to be handled and distributed. You will find a theme all through scripture that tell us:
The ministers who receive the offering/tithe are supposed to worship too!
They are responsible to ensure the altar people give into is holy.
Everyone should take their offerings/tithe where God chooses to make His name abide.
We take this responsibility joyfully and seriously before our Lord. We see it as our sacred trust.
In the founding of our ministry in 1991 the Lord introduced us to Al Houghton, the founder of Word at Work Ministries and the author of the book above, "Purifying the Altar." It taught us the importance of ensuring that the altar people sow into is holy so they could enjoy God's covenant blessings as every form of giving has a covenant blessings associated with it. For example:
We took this picture when we visited the Sistine Chapel.
Did you realize that the Bible says:
God's word created the world? - Hebrews 11:3
Death and life are in the power of your tongue? - Proverbs 18:21
Mankind is made in God's image? - Genesis 1:26-28
Therefore, our words are used to create our world. You and I have authority over our words. We can decide what to speak and when. Our words can be used for us or against us. It's truly our choice. In fact, our words can employ angels or give demons license to operate.
Well it happened again! Some were sure Jesus' second coming was scheduled for September 23rd! I think, which part of Mark 13:32 don't you get? You know, where it says "of that day and hour, no one knows."
Why don't we know? Well, part of the reason is God is exercising God COMSEC (Communication Security according to Wikipedia is "is the discipline of preventing unauthorized interceptors from accessing telecommunications in an intelligible form, while still delivering content to the intended recipients" I submit He's waiting on the Church to accomplish an assignment and he also knows that we are people, have difficulty with our tongues and "loose lips sink ships." Hebrews 10:12-13 says;
"But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool."
He is Waiting Until....
His enemies are made His footstool. Psalm 110:1-2 was quoted by Jesus in Matthew, Mark and Luke where it says:
"The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!"
When this was written the context was, whenever a king was seated on His throne, it was where He placed His feet. That was a footstool and it went with the throne.
Charlie Shamp wrote on Sept 27, 2017 on Facebook - "God is raising up prophets in this hour that will carry the anointing to unite different Kingdom expressions in churches across cities that will in turn form into outpourings in regions. I can see the bones of different denominations and movements coming together in this hour to unite the body. I hear the Lord saying, “I’m raising up the Prophetic Kingdom Connectors, those who bring my broken body together..." Click here for the full original article published July 4, 2017.
Note: I added the underline for emphasis.
Does this Sound Familiar?
Why? Because God showed me Ezekiel 37 and this day when the Church was to be connected and united during Desert Storm in 1991. He called us to prepare for this day. It is why we pioneered mobilization strategies such as CONECT (Christian Outreach Network Establishing Church-wide Teamwork) in1992, Operation Rolling Thunder in 2005 and now 1Church1day in 2014.
I woke up this morning with one word on my mind! Expunge which means "to strike or blot out; erase; obliterate."
That's what the blood of Christ does for those who choose to accept the marvelous gift Jesus provided when He died upon the cross for mankind. Anyone who chooses to do 1 John 1:7-2:2 can have their record expunged so that on the day when we stand before God, our Heavenly Father, all sins we've committed, sin which would separate us from God, is ........ EXPUNGED! Oh what a great salvation. Jesus is the only legal advocate who can expunge our sins eternally.
1 John 1:7 - 2:2 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
A couple of days ago I was contacted by a pastor from Connecticut. They were introduced to the strategy in 2011 and their church was faithful to take their day every month since then. They were friends with another leader I'd mentored through Operation Rolling Thunder and recently they saw that 1Church1Day was being used to mobilize churches in New England. With that in mind, here's some of the churches around the world that 1Church1Day is serving and helping them build our Father's house of prayer for all nations.
About a month ago I discovered about 14 churches who'd been taking their day of prayer to. They are in Shoreline Washington and they started around 2012. About 3 months ago I heard from a pastor in Pakistan who'd read my book Operation Rolling Thunder 8 years ago and they'd been using the strategy too.
John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain...
Are you called to build our Father's house of prayer for all nations?
Then the 1Church1Day strategy is designed for you as it provides a sustainable way for churches in a community to cooperate together to occupy the mountain of the Lord's house of prayer for all nations all year long. It's easy when we cooperate together and one church takes one day each month.
I've been in untold prayer meetings over the years. I'd say 90% of the time the emphasis is on the "needs of the people."
That's not bad. In fact, Jesus taught us to pray and present to God our personal needs in Matthew 6:9-12. He taught us to pray, "give us this day our daily bread." That's the perfect place in our daily prayer to submit to God our personal issues and requests. But I submit we err by not prioritizing God first.
Jesus taught us to worship God and then to pray regarding His will. "Your kingdom come and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." One way to think of what God's will is to ask God do you need done today? What are Your needs
What is God's will? What does He need? There are two ways to find out. First, check His word. He already told us what His will is. Secondly, when we pray we can get specific and ask Him what is His will in my life, my family, my city, my business.... you get the idea.
