As you know, I’ve worked with him since 2006. He represents us in his nation and has even taken the 1Church1Day strategy to the underground church in Malaysia. He spearheaded the use of ORT/1Church1Day in his nation which helped 7 denominations work together to establish MT Horeb Prayer Center in 2010. By 2011 the military junta began turning the nation back over to civilians and the Church attributed this marvelous change to prayer as they’d been in the longest running civil war in modern history (65+ years).
Our minister and his bride were led to start an orphanage; Adonai Child Rehabilitation in 2016. Because of the civil war, there are many orphans. They have a vision to see these children to be discipled and raised up to be sent into all 7 spheres of society.
On February 1 of this year the same military, encouraged by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) executed the coup. We managed to get some aid sent to them on February 1st. However, the banks were closed and so now food (have 2 months left) and the violence of the military has become an issue. Last week, two were shot with automatic gun fire only a couple of blocks from the orphans. The banks have not been open since February 1st. . They are trying to use hunger to control the people. This provides context for the communication I shared above. I just received that today.
They’ve moved some of the children to a nearby village where Kawl has family because the military is not garrisoned in villages in the jungle. As you can see, we’ve encouraged them to pray Psalm 91 and I invite you to join with us in praying not only for their safety but for the overturning of this evil.
Last year I shared a couple of articles highlighting some of the answers to prayer which pointed to transformation (1Church1Day testimony). One of the testimonies was that for the 1st time in history a Christian was installed as the vice-president in this nation. This VP happens to be from the Chin tribe. That’s the tribe we worked with to establish MT Horeb Prayer Center.
The military junta put him under house arrest and then later offered him the presidency if he’d work with them. He refused. Later, he escaped and has joined some others in hiding to organize a resistance government. Unfortunately, the CCP and the Russians have blocked various motions at the United Nations.

How to Pray with Us Now!
- Pray for real justice, in their nation and ours. Without true justice, mercy means very little as corrupted mercy is no mercy at all. 2 Samuel 23:3 says, “He who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.”
- Kawl is just one example of many ministries whom we work with on the cutting edge. I could speak of many places were directly involved but I cannot tell you about whom I’m collaborating with behind the scenes of what is happening in this world and in this nation…. yet! So pray in your prayer language as that is the perfect prayer for you and us. Romans 8:26-28.
- Pray in the Holy Spirit: Jude 1:20-23 - But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. This will help us pray, proclaim and call for justice in this earth.
