The He revealed three things in this video. Click "In this Chaos - Hold Your Peace" Here is an overview.
First, Don't Panic!
The Lord reminded me of the Red Sea again. The children of Israel were being delivered. Pharoh changed his mind and sent his army after them. The Israelites are caught between the army and the Red Sea. The Israelites complained to Moses. No doubt some might of called him a false prophet or others may have accused him of pride. Moses responds saying:
Exodus 14:13-14 And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.
What did God mean by hold your peace? Don't panic! Guard your heart for out of it flow the issues of life. Satan is trying to use hyper-fear to trip people of and that's what happens when people panic. As you listen to the video you will discover how I learned to focus during Navy flight school. Have you ever heard of the fog of war? War is chaotic. Discover how I learned to overcome those distractions.
We'll also take a look at another place where the people were commanded to hold their peace. That was in Isaiah 36-37. Jerusalem was in danger of being wiped out by the Assyrians. The king ordered the people not to answer so they "held their peace." Here we learn that it is so important to discover when you ought to speak. Often the enemy will try to draw you into a trap. It's also important to know who is supposed to speak. Sometimes God wants us silenct so the authority can speak.
Bottom line, it takes some self discipline to put a guard on your mouth and that is one of the keys to keeping your peace. You've also got to be careful what you allow in the ear gate and eye gate.
In the short video I also unpack how the Lord revealed this through "Madea." That's right, Madea! In one of Tyler Perry's movies a character said to Madea, "you got to hold your peace." The character Madea responds saying "I gots me a piece of steel." She was referring to her pistol which gave her peace.
God wants His people armed and ready. In the revelatory teaching I'll cover those spiritual weapons.
Finally, the Bible reveals there is a time when you should not hold your peace.
Isaiah 62:1 1 For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace,
And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest,
Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
And her salvation as a lamp that burns.
Isaiah 62:6 6 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall never hold their peace day or night.
You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent,
Summary
there is a time and season for everything under the sun. There is a time to be silent which is usually in the presence of your enemy. One of the keys to peace is war. If you win the war, you will have peace. Finally, there is a time when you definitely should not hold your peace and that is usually in the presence of the Lord.
We are entering a very challenging time. God is looking for a remnant with a spine. A Church that displays courage. Faith is not required when you have the promise. Faith is required before the promise. This is definitely a test among other things. Where will heaven record you stood? How will heaven record you stood?
I know I want heaven to record regarding me. How about you?
Hebrews 12:1-2 1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
