Today I had lunch with an old friend who is a retired decorated Marine Corp Major who was an artillery officer in Vietnam. He has been a great friend and ardent supporter of our ministry for years. He loves us and our vision but, he has not really understood the strategy.
That changed today as I showed him the app and the strategic leadership dashboard today. As I used his experience as an artillery officer to describe our the 1Church1Day Community Prayer Transformation System works I was inspired to write.
Following Jesus example, I’m going to use parables to describe how different aspects of 1Church1Day and the leagues work. This one is the first.
Prayer is a powerful weapon if used well. You can increase its power through:

- Numbers of people, churches, ministries, organizations through the principle of agreement. In the military, this is addressed through the principle of mass.
- Focused, targeted, precise prayer. The more specific the target the more concentrated the power. This requires accurate up to date spiritual and natural intelligence. Spiritual intelligence is gleaned from people who report what they see or hear in prayer. Some with a prophetic gift are equipped to see and hear better than others.
- Communication allows us to leverage power and pass intelligence
Hear the Parable of the Artillery Battery
In this first parable, I’ll liken the strategy we use unto the artillery battery my friend commanded in Vietnam. An artillery battery usually consisted of 3 to 6 weapons (i.e. howitzers or mortars) which are considered “indirect weapons.” Indirect weapons mean the crews operating the weapons typically cannot see the target. The target could be obscured by the terrain or mountains.
Therefore, these crews worked with a Forward Observer or FO who relayed targeting information to them using a field phone or radio. The FO would call in a fire mission and would provide coordinates for the target. Once the fire mission began the FO would provide the battery feedback by spotting where the rounds hit until a round hit the target and then he’d order “fire for effect.”
Their mission; destroy enemy forces.
1Church1Day is like an Artillery Battery
A league of people who use the 1Church1Day Community Prayer Transformation System is like a large number of artillery batteries. Through the 1Church1Day strategy we form teams of leaders in the 7 mountains of society. These are like the Forward Observers. They can call in fire missions and the targeting coordinates are communicated to everyone through the Decrees and Alert sections in the app. Everyone who has an app can pray. Every person we can add to pray regarding a specific decree or prayer target increases the power of our battery.
The Report section of the 1Church1Day app is like the field phone the FO used to communicate with a battery. A leadership team can use a Council Report where as individuals can use a Watchman or Intercessor Report to share targeting information and or to report the effects of our prayer.
The Leadership Dashboard serves as the central command center. It is like a fire control system. It’s like the brains. It is where all of the spiritual and natural intelligence is gathered which is used to develop our decrees, alerts and prayer targets. Within 5 minutes a decree or alert can be sent to everyone who has the 1Church1Day app.
Our mission, is like the artillery battery's mission. Only, instead of destroying people our job is to destroy the works of the enemy (1 John 3:8) and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1-6).
If prayer is a spiritual weapon, and it is, then this system makes our weapon mobile and powerful. It positions the Church to go on the offensive spiritually speaking. It empowers leaders who use our system within a church, network, ministry, city, county, state or region to utilize the wisdom of God to increase the power they have to project through prayer to enforce the will of King Jesus.
Once a decree or alert has been narrowed to the perfect target, then we the Church, can pray for effect (fire for effect) until we see the results that speak transformation. We pray until we see the chains broken, the works of the enemy destroyed and people set free.
