It's because I've discovered that gratitude is like gas to a car. How far you can travel depends upon how full your tank is. The question is, is your thank""full" or is your thank empty? Psalms 100:4-5 says,
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the LORD is good;
His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
I've found that having your thank-full depends on your gratitude. Gratitude reminds me of my attitude.
Many years ago I learned to fly and I discovered that one of the primary instruments a pilot had to monitor was their "attitude" indicator. The attitude indicator

Our gratitude in relationship to the world around us will determine how full our tank is. Those who are thankful will travel much further than those whose thank is less. Here's the deal, if we want to go far in life, if you want to walk in the blessing of the Lord, then you had better get your thankful (tank full).
Do You Need a Gratitude Adjustment?
Thanksgiving is the perfect time to do this. Here are just a few scriptures to help you make a gratitude adjustment.
The key to making sure you are thankful instead of thankless is to look up. Look to heaven. Look to our Lord from whence our help comes from.
Psalms 5:1-3
Give ear to my words, O LORD, Consider my meditation. 2 Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray. 3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Psalms 136:1
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Colossians 2:6-10
As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
Habakkuk 3:17-19
Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— 18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. 19 The LORD God is my strength;
Psalms 121:1-2
I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
Isaiah 51:4-6
"Listen to Me, My people; And give ear to Me, O My nation: For law will proceed from Me, And I will make My justice rest As a light of the peoples. 5 My righteousness is near, My salvation has gone forth, And My arms will judge the peoples; The coastlands will wait upon Me, And on My arm they will trust. 6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
Isaiah 60:4-5
"Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. 5 Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
Ephesians 5:19-21
speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.
Consequence of Focusing on the World
Romans 1:21-22 1 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools
One of the biggest hinderances today is the TV. The "television" and the mainstream media. My advice. Turn it off. Don't let them "tell you their vision." Keep your vision focused on what God has said and He does that through His prophets.
2 Chronicles 20:20... believe His prophets and so shall you prosper.
So this Thanksgiving we've turned off the TV. I'm not listening to the fake news media and the demonic agenda they seek to propagate. I've chosen to focus on what what does God's word say, what does God say to me in my prayer time, what has God said to me in times past and what has God said through His prophets.
I also focus on all that I have to be thankful for.
I'm Thankful
- God adopted me into His family
- For the blood of Jesus who saved me
- For the wife God gave me
- For my children and grandchildren
- For my Church family in KLI Family, the Tribe, our Fellow Workers and Davidic Company, for the Church in our neighborhood, my GDP/GDF family, my extended Church family and so much more.
- That My Father choose to allow me to live now and here and to engage in this spiritual war.
- For all of the challenges this time presents and the opportunity for my character to grow and I develop the gifts He gave me to serve others with.
- For His Word, His Spirit and His holy angels.
- For His prophets and the word they've given us to war with during this time
- For you
What are you thankful for?
I'd encourage you to share it below.
Praying you have a very blessed Thanksgiving.
