For those who know me, you know the revelation God gave me about history (His-Story) which I shared in my book "Operation Rolling Thunder - Revised Edition." The context for this statement was remembering all of the thunderstorms, hailstones, earthquakes, thunder snow and more which marked many of our prayer events. The sign was not the main thing. The main thing was the word of God which the sign pointed to and highlighted. On page 66 it says:
In the scriptures above, the word “sign” is used by Paul to indicate that this letter belongs to him. It is proof that he wrote it. I believe that God uses signs and wonders as proof of His ownership, too. Whenever His people do what He has directed them to do, they make church His-story (history). Sometimes God will perform a sign or a wonder just to put His mark on it - to say, “This is mine. My people did this at My leading therefore I am going to put My signature on this page of history so everyone will know it’s Me.”
We witnessed a page written in His-story that day. In the video below Jonathan is sharing about how when they choose the day September 26th for this event which was called "The Return," he did not realize that it was also listed on the Jewish calendar as Shabat Shuvah which means, the Sabbath of return. Then, there was a rumbling in the clouds. If you go to the 27 minute mark you'll hear the first rumble around the 28 minute mark. Click here.
My friends, don't be enamored by the sign but rather pay attention to the Word of God! This day was marked out before time began as God's call for this nation, and the nations to RETURN to Him. The following scriptures reveal what God requires from His remnant Church.
Joel 2:12-17 "Now, therefore," says the LORD,
"Turn to Me with all your heart,
With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning."
13 So rend your heart, and not your garments;
Return to the LORD your God,
For He is gracious and merciful,
Slow to anger, and of great kindness;
And He relents from doing harm.
14 Who knows if He will turn and relent,
And leave a blessing behind Him--
A grain offering and a drink offering
For the LORD your God?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion,
Consecrate a fast,
Call a sacred assembly;
16 Gather the people,
Sanctify the congregation,
Assemble the elders,
Gather the children and nursing babes;
Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber,
And the bride from her dressing room.
17 Let the priests, who minister to the LORD,
Weep between the porch and the altar;
Let them say, "Spare Your people, O LORD,
And do not give Your heritage to reproach,
That the nations should rule over them.
Why should they say among the peoples,
'Where is their God?'"
Romans 10:8-13 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."
2 Chronicles 7:13-14 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
There is a Remnant Church Arising
This was a call for the "Remnant Church" to arise and arise she did. There is a people arising across this nation and across this world for there is a harvest of disciples to be made manifest.
Isaiah 60:1-5 Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
And deep darkness the people;
But the LORD will arise over you,
And His glory will be seen upon you.
3 The Gentiles shall come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 "Lift up your eyes all around, and see:
They all gather together, they come to you;
Your sons shall come from afar,
And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
5 Then you shall see and become radiant,
And your heart shall swell with joy;
Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you,
The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
Isaiah 2:2-3 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days
That the mountain of the LORD's house
Shall be established on the top of the mountains,
And shall be exalted above the hills;
And all nations shall flow to it.
3 Many people shall come and say,
"Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
He will teach us His ways,
And we shall walk in His paths."
For out of Zion shall go forth the law,
And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
