Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:24 that false christs and false prophets would rise in the last days to "deceive." He ends it with "if possible, even the very elect." His statement indicates that their speech, their arguments, their doctrine will be clever. Convincing even! Especially to those who do not know truth.
Paul, an apostle, warned Timothy about the "falling away", Satan's modus operandi and the character of Satan's messengers. In 1 Timothy 4:1-2 he says that some would fall for "deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons" who would be "speaking lies in hypocrisy."
So what's the problem? It's discernment. Why? First, some ministers in the Church only focus on applying these admonitions in the "religious sphere." In other words, only within the four walls of the Church on Sunday and Wednesday. It's not applied to the life of every Christian who interacts with every sphere on a daily basis. Ephesians 4:12 tells us that the role of the 5-fold ministry is to "equip the saints for the work of the ministry." In other words every believer ought to be equipped as a minister. So the first problem is not equipping every believer to act as a minister with discernment.
The second problem is fear and ignorance. For example, some today espouse a "separation of church and state." Some ministers today choose to avoid politics because of the conflict that is inherently involved. Their motive, keep peace at all costs in their local church so people won't leave. Why? Because people translate to money; offerings!
Separation of Church and State - NOT!
This position is further bolstered by ignorance of the origin of the phrase "separation of church and state." It's not a phrase from the Bible but rather from a letter penned by Thomas Jefferson who answered the Danbury Baptist's letter which expressed their concern that government would overstep their bounds to effect the church negatively. It was in this context that Jefferson wrote in a letter (ie. not in a bill, law, etc.) about the "separation of church and state." His view was based upon their knowledge of the history of the King of England starting with Henry the VIII who departed the Catholic Church because they would not annul his marriage to Catherine in 1530. This led to a series of events which eventually positioned civil leader, the king, to also serve as the head of the Anglican Church. Bottom line, the king ended up acting more like the corrupt kings we see in Israel (1st & 2nd Kings) who "made Israel sin" than the righteous kings like David who sought to love and honor our Lord which was reflected in his willingness to allow God's prophets and priests to confront and address his moral failures especially when it impacted the nation.
These ministers are often ignorant, or have not focused on what God's word reveals about eternal spiritual laws that exist and how certain acts by a people can activate a spiritual law that brings blessing or enact a law that causes the land to expel it's inhabitants through wars, pestilence, and or "natural disasters." (ie. Deuteronomy 28, Leviticus 18, 20 and 26). In other words, they do not understand how important righteous laws are. Righteous laws are based upon truth.
Satan has sent his false prophets which are influenced by deceiving spirits to teach their doctrines. These are doctrines of demons. I'll use Saul Alynski whose book, "Rules for Radicals" has been adopted as the playbook for the Democrat Party as an example. You'll note in the article shared at the top of this article it describes the 8 strategies to create a socialist state. These thoughts are being used today to impact America, don't you think? Let me share with you the root system of his doctrine.
The Two Keys to Discerning False Prophets & Doctrines of Demons
| Rules for Radicals was a book published in 1971 written by Saul Alynski. Here's two concepts to remember. First, there is the concept of how the fruit does not fall far from the root? In this case, we find the Washington Post quoting how Alynski honored Satan as the "very first radical." What do you suppose is the eternal destination of this kind of root? Jesus said, in Matthew 3:10, "And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." So what would love do knowing that the root of evil will be cast into the fire? I submit to you, Ephesians 4:16. They'd speak the truth in love . The second concept is found in 1 Corinthians 15:33 (Amp Classic) Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals." |
One of their favorite tactics is character assassination. It is the manifestation of one of Satan's major characteristics. He is described in Revelation 12:10 as the "accuser of the brethren" and in John 8:44 as a murderer. It's just part of his nature so it is no wonder when his children display the same.
I submit to you that Saul Alynski has served like a prophet speaking to kings (presidents, secretary of states, senators, representatives) in civil authority. The origin of his inspiration is the god of this world. 2 Corinthians 4:4 reveals his ultimate purpose. It says, "whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them."

Jesus taught us in Matthew 7:15 through verse 20 how to discern if a prophet was true or false. He says in verses 16 and 20 that you will know them by their fruit. Galatians 5 reveals that the fruit Jesus is referring to is the fruit of the flesh or the fruit of the spirit.
Galatians 5 provides us a comparison between two fruits so you can judge the source. What was the fruit of Al Capone's mob? Well, they sold liquor during the prohibition. The mob committed murder, drunkenness, and the fornication was obvious as Capone died in prison from a sexual transmitted disease. Lawlessness was their practice. 2nd Thessalonians reveals who is behind lawlessness. It is the anti-Christ spirit.
Now, you can also look at his book Rules for Radicals and find some of his "rules" are rooted in the acts described here as the fruit of the flesh. Do you recall who he honored in the foreword of his book? So, there is really no surprise here.
What is surprising to me though, is the ignorance and the silence by many in the body of Christ. It grieves my heart.
The Second Key - You Judge the Content of the Message
What do I mean you judge the content. You have to decide if the communication is true or false. Is it a lie or is it the truth? Jesus said in John 8:32 and you shall know the truth and the truth will make you free. In John 8:44 we find several aspects of Satan's true nature. He is the father of lies and habitual liars, a murderer and a deceiver.
Lying is part of his modus operandi. The best lies and deceptions are mixed with truth. But did you know that even a liar or a false prophet can sometimes tell the truth?
Consider Balaam
In Numbers 22, Deuteronomy 23 and Joshua 24 we find Balak hiring the prophet Balaam to curse Israel. You will find that Balaam's prophetic words over Israel were accurate and even included in the cannon of scripture. Yet, he was a false prophet. Jude 1:11 and 2 Peter 2:15 reveal why? It's because his motive was money. Greed! Yet, his prophetic utterances were accurate. He had a God given gift that worked well. His understanding of spiritual laws was excellent. But his character was corrupt. Why do I say that?
It's because he spoke only what God told them. But to earn the wages he coveted he gave Balak counsel based upon his understanding of spiritual laws. He knew that God's prophetic word would not come to pass "IF" Israel sinned. Therefore he introduced a strategy of sexual immorality that positioned Israel to be corrupted (see Deuteronomy 28, Leviticus 18, 20 and 26 for examples) and to enter into a curse verses the blessings in-spite of the prophetic utterance of blessings.
So what is my point. The Christian today needs to be equipped to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:12-14 says (emphasis mine), "For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."
The Greek word translated discern literally means a "judicial estimation." The Christian today needs to learn to judge WORDS and ACTIONS. Not people. Word and actions. How do you judge words and actions? By comparing it to God's word.
That means you need to know God's word and that comes from studying God's word and spending time regularly in His presence. The writer of Hebrews in Chapter 6 goes on to describe the foundational doctrines every believer needs to be equipped with.
The knowledge of these truths will help you discern in these days and protect from being deceived.
Saul Alynski Opened Himself Up to Demons
Do you realize that Saul has opened himself up to deceiving spirits? Do you recognize how his book, Rules for Radicals, was inspired by the demonic? It codifies, thoughts, ideas, strategies and tactics that equip a people to corrupt, manipulate and control a people to gain power? Its selfish.
Hence, it is Christian's responsibility to not retreat from society but rather it is time for the Church to rise up, and become "a-salt" (assault) and a light in this world. God needs people who will lend their lips to Him and release, speak, shout and proclaim truth. It is time to "a-salt" the lies. People's lives and eternal destiny depended upon it.
My friends we need to quit retreating, It is time to go on the offense with truth. Not just truth in the religious sphere, but rather truth in every sphere. The world will be transformed one soul at a time. Satan uses deception to kill, steal and destroy and God wants us to offer the truth which bring life and that more abundantly. This is why Jesus said:
Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
The Lessons Learned
So what have we learned from this teaching? We:
- Have a modern example of a false prophet
- Learned that deceiving spirits work through false prophets to introduce their doctrines (teachings) of demons through them.
- Have a modern example of how doctrines of demons have impacted a political party's tactics.
- Click for Political Parties, Doctrines of Demons and the Christian for a comparison of the Democrat and Republican party platforms compared to God's word on certain moral issues.
- Learned to judge two things: the character of the one delivering the message and the actual content of their message.
I pray this teaching has challenged you, equipped you and blessed you. I pray you hit the mark for the assignment and destiny Christ called you to in Psalm 139.
